Utah State Champs at Taylorsville HS April 24 and 25

COMPETITON-For competition fees you will be paying this online to the competition. I have already registered all the dancers so just follow the instructions below to pay online. The deadline is April 3

#1- Go to americaonstage.org

#2- Click on “CLICK HERE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION”

      Go to STEP 4 AND CLICK REGISTRATION PAYMENT

#3- it will say America OnStage secure Payment form-

     Select Competition- UTAH STATE CHAMPS

 #4-Very Important- Director- click TERA THORNE-This will ensure                   you get credit

#5- Enter amount:. This is the amount you need to pay__________________(amount I texted you)

#6-Enter your child’s name

#7- Finish filling out credit info

Oh my gosh, it is St. George time! It always sneaks up so fast! Bring on the sunshine.

I am so excited for these girls to dance their hearts out this wk. end. I am also happy that we are all dancing on Friday! YAY!

For those of you who have not competed before here is what to expect.

This competition gives you a “Place” by your score. So if you score a 29.1 out of 30 that would be a 1^st place score, 28.7-29.0-2^nd, 27-28.69 is 3^rd. (If this is your first solo competition you are entered in the “Novice” Category. If you have danced longer you move up to Beginner.  Int. and Advanced solos are for dancers who go 3- 5 days a week to dance)  Right after you dance you will pick up your trophy.  Usually about an hour after you dance they post the standings, they will give me the ribbon to put on your trophy telling you what place you received. I love this competition because it gives the girls a chance to dance a solo for about ½ the price of other competitions because you have the option to choose queen or standard solo. A standard solo is only $40, versus $75 for a queen solo and the only difference is if you win you get a crown.  The other beautiful thing is all spectators are FREE!

You will need to arrive at the competition one hour before your scheduled dance time so you have plenty of time to warm up. If you want to run your solo with me you will need to be at the comp by 10am, because I don’t have much time between solos, if you can’t get there at 10, run it on your own. J

Make-up should be blush, eyeliner (the cat eye looks great) glitter eye shadow, anything that sparkles looks well on stage. For lipstick I love the Maybelline 24 hr. super stay 2 step lipstick in cherry. It stays on forever and doesn’t bleed. Love it.

Hair can be any style out of your face.  We need to see those beautiful faces!
