I think we are ready for some fun in the SUN!!!! WOW! We are ready! After our fun Saturday practice I think we are ready to dance our hearts out in St. George.

St. Geezey! Woo Hoo!

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!! It’s time for St. George! Remember we have Saturday practice this week to make up for our missed class. Dancers need to wear all black with whatever shoes they are wearing for competition; also hair needs to be exactly as it will be worn for competition.

Practice will be 11:00am-2:00pm. Dancers should bring a sack lunch  a couple dollars to go in a Little Caesars. Don’t forget a labeled water bottle too.

 ON Tuesday March 19^th dancers will have class at their regular time, but in full costume! It’s our mini dress rehearsal.  It looks like all dancers will be dancing on Friday March 22. Check americaonstage.org for exact times. It should post this week. Let’s get ready for some FUN!!!!!

Let me know if you want to compete in the Utah State championships held at Taylorsville High school April 26, 27. Registration is due by April 4J

SOLOS! St. George and SUNSHINE

Remember We will most likely be competing on Friday March 22 late morning/ midday-ish

NO class next week. Regular class on March 12 and Saturday practice on March 16

COMPETITON-For competition fees you will be paying this online to the competition. I have already registered all the dancers so just follow the instructions below to pay online. The deadline is March 1.

#2- At the top there are “latest News” Competitions”, Click on REGISTRATION

#3- Click on “CLICK HERE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION”

Go to STEP 4 AND CLICK REGISTRATION PAYMENT

#4-Select Competition- DIXIE SPECTACULAR

#5-Very Important- Director- click TERA THORNE-This will ensure you get credit

#6- Enter amount:. This is the amount you need to pay__________________

#7-Enter your child’s name

#8- Finish filling out credit info

Next year

To my wonderful dancers-

My husband just got his updated travel plans for the upcoming year and it is crazy! Because of this I will not be able to teach dance this year.

Last year I had my oldest son to help with driving my other 2 kids to events while I taught dance.  He will be off to college and not able to help me. I also lost 2 of my teachers to college and it would be overwhelming  to try to balance all of my classes, and being a mom.

I have always believed it was more important to put my family first, so I hope you understand why I have to cut back on teaching.

These are a few of the studios that are close by that I think have good programs-

*Synergy Dance Company-( this is where my daughter tumbles )and I am highly impressed with the program! Dancewithsynergy.com

*ADA-  Very focused on competitions. If you just want to take a technique class, I wouldn’t, Their time and dedication goes into the competition teams.

*UDA -Very strong ballet base, great for those needing help on technique

*Tiffany’s- I have seen improvement over the years with this company, they lack a little in technique, but performance quality has improved over the years.

* JL Soresenson- has some boys hip hop and break dance classes. They also have youth classes.

You will always be Vizion dancers in my heart! Once I see what my schedule is like I might be able to do a few solo classes.  I am always here to give you advice on studios and any dance questions you have!

I just want you to know how much I have loved being your teacher and watching you grow as dancers! I will continue to watch you on your journey! Keep me posted on all of the events in your life!

I will  offer technique workshops and solos throughout the year, I will keep you posted. Also, Oakley might be able to also offer private lessons. I will let you know.

CONCERT TIME!!

What a crazy fun year this has been, and not to mention it has FLOWN by! The Concert is Tuesday April 24, at the Riverton Community Center @ 6:30pm. 12830 South 1700 West. Dancers need to arrive by 6:00pm I will have the 3 and 4 year olds run there dance once on the stage at 6:05pm. Parents just keep the dancers with you until 2 songs before they perform. All dancers need to stay in the audience until two songs before. It is so distracting when you are performing to hear dancers backstage. So PLEASE keep dancers with you. Competition girls can wear their hair and makeup like they did for Dixie Jam. 3 and 4 year olds can wear their hair any way, just so it is not in their face. I have loved dancing with every single one of these dancers! What a great year! This will be a blast!

Please remember that a $10 recital fee is due with each student. This covers the building rental, prize for dancer, and programs Please get that to me this week. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! J

I will not be adding any new classes next year. So it will almost be mission impossible to get new students in, I am so sorry for those of you who wanted friends to join. However, I will be keeping all current classes exactly as they are. You will all have your spots unless you tell me otherwise. I have waiting lists for all classes as of right now. So I will just need to know by August if you are leaving so I can fill those spots.

I will be doing a few summer technique workshops, so keep checking. Also, I will continue with my Zumba classes all through the summer. This is a great way to keep your endurance up in the off months. Zumba is only $10 a month and you can come up to 4 times a week! This is great for the older girls,(and mom’s) and I might do one zumbatomic class for the younger ones, just to keep them active! So check my blog for times. My blog will also keep you posted on when we will start in the Fall.
